Extracts from philosophy drafting.

From 23/11/2022+

If everyone thinks one thing and they are not successful,

No matter how normal the way or insistency about validity there is,

I say bet the another way.

So, for example:

Brute force thinking, out.

Incrementalism, in.

Victory laps, out.

Big revelations, sometimes in; sometimes out*.

Learn tactically, In. (Aim for high density of relevant /important/useful knowledge).

Thinking tactically, In. (Avoiding thinking in circles, dead head by moving on from over circulating incorrect or uncertain ideas.

Overthinking: out.

Spatial-Reification, out.

Awareness and understanding of cognitive biases and associations: In

Stealing work from others: out.

Own ideas and definitions from scratch: in.

Self-review, in.

Certainty consideration/awareness: in. (Factor in)

___--

* No apples landing on the head moments though. As mythologised by the story of Newton** discovering gravity

** who considered himself a philosopher of movement, btw.

Things tend to look different looking backwards than forwards, or at the present time.

—--

Reading every philosopher before attempts can have its downsides because learning is not always within a person’s will.

(Philosophy reading tips +, if you are not understanding things it is better to keep reading than re going over the same sentence or text. The explanation or understanding may arise further on.)

Alternatively, we replace it with knowledge relevance and densities.

We learn a lot in associations. Or through the simultaneity of components. Or through Aristotle+ components.

If a building is faulty and collapses, do you use each brick wholesale? (Relevant here). New bricks required or old ones examined.

Unravelling key components and compositions of philosophy terms.

Provide a good fundamentals guide or map for others.

Using new psychology and knowledge hacks to build knowledge and new understandings.

Good fundamentals = an understanding of key philosophical areas and terms.
