On realism and idealism:

I have the feeling that too much realism can sometimes tend towards unfairness, and also sometimes nihilistic and cynical belief systems.

Whilst too much idealism: maybe be too easily exploited, and perhaps naivety.

Either way, I feel a balance is required.
